Campania

Since ancient Rome, visitors to Campania have admired the abundance of fruits and vegetables grown in the volcanic soil around Mt. Vesuvius. Some of the finest produce in Italy grows here including San Marzano tomatoes, considered by many the best in the world. Seafood, especially shellfish is popular on Campania’s picturesque Amalfi coast and in the capital city of Napoli. Campania is home to many of America’s favorite including pizza, pasta secca, and eggplant Parmigiana.
